Individual CCW Classes

Welcome to your individual CCW class.  This class will be tailored to your experience and comfort level.  You will complete the requirements for the Ohio CCW license, however the information and activities will be focused on you.

Time:  Ordinarily the courses begin promptly at 9 a.m. Please plan to arrive at 8:45 to be able to start on time. The state of Ohio requires a 12 hour class. The entire time of the class will be filled up with lectures, discussion, demonstrations and target shooting,.  If you are late, you may not qualify for your license. The course will be over at 9 p.m.  Please count on staying for the entire time.

You can negotiate for a time and day or days if you would like to split up the time over two or more days that better suits your busy life and schedule.

Place:  The classes and range time will be at Jon Kydd Tharpe's residence 2706 State Route 125, Bethel, Ohio.  If you are with a special group, check with your group leader if the class will be held on your premises.

The classroom portion of the instruction can be done at your home, office or at Jon's residence.  If you wouold like to negotiate for a place that is easier to fit into your schedule. Please do so.  There may be an additional charge.

What to bring:  Drivers License, passport or state identification, sack lunch or snack,

What to wear:  Comfortable clothes, boots or shoes that tie firmly to your feet like gym shoes. You will be shooting out of doors so please wear clothes that are appropriate for the weather.  Please no flip flops, high heels or open toed shoes.

What not to bring:  Do not bring firearms, we will be providing them.  Children or others who will wait for you to get finished with your class.

Your entire attention:  Please do not bring cell phones, tablets or computers.  They may only be used during breaks or for taking notes.
